I wanted to make the despised yellow hospital grip socks. For the yellow color I used half a tbsp of lemon yellow Rit dye and a cup and a half of simmering water, for 30 minutes. For the grip, I split some white embroidery thread in half (3 strands) and did evenly spaced speckling stitches, creating the effect of white raised bumps. I also included a hole in the bottom to access my tie downs.
